Drawing from multiple references.

I drew this picture of Our Blessed Mother Mary,
As you can see it has some rather obvious flaws, So if any of you have the time to give me any constructive criticisms I would be most grateful!
I drew this picture using multiple other drawings as reference. . . .

Motivation

Practice every day . . . . work hard and don't give up!!!

I was watching a motivational video on youtube a few days back on how to become a better artist, and one of the points stressed on was "get critique" on your work. . . .and then *listen*! This is probably one of my greatest weaknesses I don't listen well. . . 🙈 but I want to try. . .😎😅
So please if any of you have critiques. . . . share them with me!

Less Than Eleven Months

This is my self motivation post,

I started this blog over a month ago and my progress in my drawing course and piano practice has been rather shabby considering I intend to master both these arts in just 12 months, . . . . so here is to refuelled enthusiasm.
Only 10 months and 21 days to go!
You better get a move on sweetheart. . . .or you'll never win the race!

Watercolour wet on wet

This is a painting I made yesterday of a butterfly,
using a wet on wet effect for the background and more solid watercolour paints and even some black ink for the drawing it's self!
In the process of learning to master drawing, and especially learning to master the human figure, I feel it is imperative to mix drawing with the aim of practice and drawing for the sake of pleasure. . .

My Father

Today the weather was unbearably hot and so this afternoon I took a brake from practising drawing and instead drew a picture of my Father.
I struggle to catch likenesses so it's not an overly accurate representation of him, but still the drawing came out rather well apart from that small hitch and I did catch something of his features!!!

Quick 10 minute 3D forms!

Today I learned to draw action figures in very basic 3D positions.
I am following the course of Professor Riven Phoenix,
the first 19 lessons are free, if you like drawing you should give it a try.
I am still in the early stages of these videos but they are brilliant so far,
and have already taught me so much!
Quick 10min crayon sketches I drew today.

Motivation. . . . 365 days here we go!!!

A.C.M

I have created this blog as a means of self-motivation, my aim is to see how far I can come in just one year with the forms of artistry I love most!!!

I have tried my hand at many different types of visual art,
so this year I am going to focus on improving my handling and understand as far and much as possible.

My second aim is to explore the art of Music,
In this field I am very week and have only had a few very simple lessons from when I was a child, but it's been a dream of mine to be able to read music and play a instrument for a long time!
My chosen instrument is the piano as we have a baby grand in our home which nobody uses!!!
